A new utility allows you to easily update to Update 9 and higher.
It is important to note that all previous functionality for applying patches within the product for hotfixes or earlier patches is still available. This new utility provides an easy way to also apply patches.
1. Access the utility by selecting Updates under Administration > Utilities > Updates.
2. The list of updates page appears.
3. If there are not updates in the list, click Add an update in the right panel.
4. Select the update file by clicking the Select file link to open the Explorer. Once selected, the upload will start for you automatically.
5. Select the patch from the Patches section.
6. Once the information is pulled in, you can select the endpoints you want to update.

To use the utility

5. Select the patch from the Patches section.
- In this example, the patch is mandatory. If patches are optional, you can choose to install them or not.
6. Once the information is pulled in, you can select the endpoints you want to update.
- A list of folders appear with their level of update. This way you can check the current update level of the folder against the update you want to apply.
- You can delete lines in the list if you don't want to upgrade them.
- The system will verify those choices for you to make sure that you can actually apply this update to the folder selected.
7. Next, you have the options:
- Save the record and apply it later.
- Check the consistency of the update on the folders chosen by using the Test update function.
- Apply the update to launch the update in a single click.
